Payment Gateways

Get paid on invoices, in chat, and on your portal

OneDash connects directly to the payment providers your customers already use. Enable one or more gateways per business, choose a default for invoices and wallet top-ups, and let webhooks confirm every payment securely, whether the customer pays from WhatsApp, a PDF QR code, or your customer portal.

  • PayFast, Ozow, Yoco & Paystack built into invoicing and the portal
  • Send payment links in WhatsApp, on PDFs, or via shareable pay links
  • Webhook-confirmed payments with automatic receipts and reconciliation
  • Per-tenant credentials encrypted; you keep your merchant accounts

Included on all plans with invoicing. You bring your own merchant accounts with each gateway.

Everything in Payment Gateways

Native PayFast, Ozow, Yoco, and Paystack integration. No plugins. Connect your merchant account, send payment links, and reconcile automatically.

01

Why we integrate payment gateways

Getting paid should not mean copying payment details into five different tools.

One platform, no plugins

Payment links are built into invoicing, the customer portal, WhatsApp workflows, and public pay pages. No third-party billing add-ons or Zapier hacks.

Customer choice

Offer card payers PayFast, Yoco, or Paystack; offer bank payers Ozow instant EFT. Pick the default gateway per business and override on individual payment links.

Automatic reconciliation

Successful payments create receipts, update invoice balances, and credit contact wallets without manual bank matching.

Secure by design

Gateway credentials are encrypted at rest. Webhooks are signature-verified server-side. Payment status is never trusted from browser redirects alone.

02

Supported gateways

Connect the providers that fit your customers and markets.

PayFast

South Africa's leading gateway for cards, EFT, and recurring subscriptions. Ideal when you need subscription billing or debit-order style recurring invoices.

Ozow

Instant EFT for customers who prefer paying straight from their bank account. Fast checkout with automatic expiry and reconciliation.

Yoco

Hosted card payment links via the Yoco API. A strong fit if you already run Yoco in-store or want simple card checkout without a full merchant stack.

Paystack

Cards, bank transfer, and mobile money across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and more. Hosted checkout with HMAC-verified webhooks.

03

How payments work on OneDash

The same secure flow whether you invoice from the portal or send a link in WhatsApp.

Create a payment

Start checkout from an invoice, wallet top-up, order, or shareable payment link. OneDash creates a pending payment order with a unique reference.

Customer checks out

The customer is redirected to PayFast, Ozow, Yoco, or Paystack hosted checkout, or opens a signed PayFast form, depending on the gateway.

Webhook confirms payment

The gateway notifies OneDash server-side. We verify the signature, match the amount, and mark the order complete. Idempotent handling prevents double-charging.

Receipt & allocation

A payment record and receipt are created. Invoice balances update, wallet credits apply, and the customer can download proof from the portal.

Send anywhere

Drop payment links in WhatsApp chats, embed QR codes on invoice PDFs, email pay links, or let customers pay from the self-service portal.

Recurring via PayFast

Subscription-style recurring payment links are supported through PayFast. Follow-up billing cycles reconcile automatically when PayFast sends ITN notifications.

04

What you need to get started

Each gateway uses your own merchant account. OneDash never holds customer card data.

Merchant account

Sign up with PayFast, Ozow, Yoco, and/or Paystack and complete their KYC. OneDash does not replace your relationship with the payment provider.

API credentials

Enter merchant ID, keys, or secret keys in Payment Settings. Secrets are encrypted and only used server-side for checkout and webhook verification.

Webhook URL

Copy the OneDash notify URL from Payment Settings into each gateway dashboard. Use your public pay host (e.g. pay.onedash.co.za) so callbacks reach the API.

Default gateway

Enable one or more gateways, then pick the default for invoices and QR codes. Override per payment link when you need a specific provider.

Test mode first

Every gateway supports sandbox/test credentials. Run a test payment end-to-end before switching to live keys.

From setup to results

1

Connect

Enable gateways in Payment Settings. Enter merchant credentials and register the OneDash webhook URL with each provider.

2

Configure

Choose your default gateway for invoices and QR codes. Enable test mode while you validate checkout end-to-end.

3

Charge

Customers pay from invoices, wallet top-ups, orders, or links you send in WhatsApp. Checkout happens on the gateway's secure hosted page.

4

Reconcile

Webhooks confirm payment server-side. OneDash updates invoices, issues receipts, and credits wallets automatically.
